The Scrubs TQ842903 comprises 24 acres of mainly Hornbeam and Chestnut trees.

A twelve months survey of the birds of the wood was carried out by visiting the area seven times each month from January to December.

The ten most numerous species can be seen in bold; all of them being considered Resident in the UK.

Those species having a definite number in the Crude Daily Average column are those that the casual observer could expect to see on any visit to the wood at any time of the year.

Twelve of the listed species are summer visitors to the UK and two are likely to be seen here only during the months of winter.

Species are listed in Voous Order.
