60th Anniversary Memories

I edit a newsletter for the Barling School reunion group. At the time of the
anniversary of the 1953 floods we produced a memorial edition which contained many memories from individuals who were involved in the floods in Great Wakering and on Foulness Island. I thought you might like a copy for your records. Lynn Askham (Barling School Reunion Group)

I found these in our email archives recently after a reminder to me during a very interesting visit to Foulness yesterday to see Roger Burroughs. They are quite a topical addition to the site in view of the recent flood alerts down the east coast. Ten people from local communities lost their lives in the 1953 floods. Bob Stephen (RDCA Admin)
